I plan to leave Chelmsford end of June and cycle all the way through France into Italy and cycle the length of Italy to the boot catch the 20 min crossing to Sicily and then carry on the journey to Palermo where I will meet members of my family. Its 2780kms from Chelmsford to Palermo Sicily and all l’ll have is a tent that I’m carrying so that I can camp all the way to Sicily.
I reckon it will take 4 weeks….but have no idea.
The temperature in sicily in August is 40 degrees so I need to be mindfull of that, hopefully I’ll be getting a good tan! I will probably have an arse as red as a baboons by the time I reach my destination!
Hey James, hows it going? what an adventure fella!!
Hope all is good, even if tough at times…Hang in there….be safe! be fast!!!
Cheers mate,
Tommy Erdos
